Georgia frets at embargo with a long vintage

Delegation seeks to persuade Russia to lift trade ban placed in 2006 on import of wine, water and fruit.

Georgian wine, water and fruit producers are hoping a trade embargo by Russia could soon be lifted.

Russia introduced the ban in 2006, pointing to quality concerns, but some Georgians believe it was actually a political move.

A Georgian delegation is attempting to convince Russia to rebuild trade links. Al Jazeera’s Emma Hayward reports from the Georgian capital Tbilisi.
