Libya civil war: Tribal loyalties tested as violence continues

The repeated failure of UN-sponsored ceasefire talks is increasing fear among many Libyans that tribal divisions are being exploited again.

Tribal identity and loyalty play a fundamental role in Libyan society.

During years of chaos and fighting, some reconciliation between groups has been possible.

But as the conflict continues, there are fears cracks may be forming again.
