UN condemns Russia’s annexation move: How did countries vote?

The United Nations General Assembly condemned Moscow’s attempt to annex four regions of Ukraine last month in a global show of anger towards President Vladimir Putin’s Russia.

In total, 143 countries backed Wednesday’s resolution reaffirming Ukraine’s independence and territorial integrity. Thirty-five countries abstained from voting, while Russia and four other countries with close ties to Moscow voted against it.
