- Ghana XI: Ati Zigi, Alidu, Daniel Amartey, Salisu, Rahman, Partey, Abdul Samed Kyereh, (72′), Kudus (Fatawu, 90+) Jordan Ayew (Sulemana, 46′), Andre Ayew (Bukari, 46′), Williams (Semenyo, 72′).

- The Group H decider sees Ghana take on Uruguay to join Portugal in advancing from this group.
- Ghana’s win over South Korea means that a draw would be enough for them unless the Koreans defeat Portugal by a multiple-goal margin in the other match.
- Uruguay will also be keeping an eye on that game because even if they win, they will need to do so by a greater margin than South Korea’s to advance.

That’s it from us
We’re finishing up our coverage of that Group H encounter, with our attention now turning to Cameroon vs Brazil and Serbia vs Switzerland. If they’re half as interesting as this last game, we’re in for a good evening.
Goodbye for now.
Fans of both teams, look away now
This won’t make easy reading if you’re Ghanaian or Uruguayan, but here’s our match report after an eventful game at the Al Janoub Stadium.
Third time unlucky in this case
3 – Giorgian de Arrascaeta is the third Uruguayan to score two goals in the first-half of a World Cup match, after Juan Peregrino Anselmo vs Yugoslavia in 1930 and Oscar Miguez vs Bolivia in 1950. Uruguay won the World Cup at both editions. Charm. pic.twitter.com/6cwLGmL06W

Suarez in tears
He had his shirt over his head when he heard the news that South Korea had gone ahead, and looks disconsolate as he wanders around the pitch. At 35, this is almost certainly his last shot at lifting that golden trophy, and he knows it.
Uruguay players heartbroken
They are devastated; on the floor. They gave everything but it wasn’t to be. They are heading home.
Full-time
Uruguay are out of this World Cup after failing to score enough goals in this win. Their players are remonstrating with the referee and chasing him down the tunnel, but it matters little now.
Neither side did enough in this game to progress, with South Korea springing another surprise by beating Portugal 2-1. What a World Cup.

Uruguay fans are nervous
Uruguay players know the score in the other match. They are taking risks as they push for the third goal.
Their fans are on the edge, not cheering as loudly as before. The bench is also up on their feet and almost out of the technical area.
Both Ghana and Uruguay will crash out of the World Cup if the score remains the same.
Chances for both sides
Coates throws his body in the way of the ball and blocks it. Ati Zigi makes another brilliant save from Gomez at the other end after Uruguay break.
90+5 mins: Ghana 0-2 Uruguay
Cavani wants a penalty
The referee isn’t interested. Alidu Seidu made the challenge, which was contentious.
90+4 mins: Ghana 0-2 Uruguay

Uruguay definitely need a goal after the Koreans have beaten Portugal 2-1.

Can Uruguay get the dream finish?
90+1 mins: Ghana 0-2 Uruguay
Ati Zigi makes incredible save
Cavani heads from six yards (5.5 metres) but the keeper makes a great save. It wouldn’t have counted as the Uruguay forward is flagged for offside.
Ati Zigi hurts himself as he lands and gets treatment.
90 mins: Ghana 0-2 Uruguay
Coates booked
The defender hacks down Sulemana and goes into the referee’s notebook. Sulemana also gets booked in the aftermath.
88 mins: Ghana 0-2 Uruguay

South Korea are up 2-1 against Portugal, so the Uruguayans need a goal, or they will be eliminated.

He gets down well on the full stretch to push a Kudus shot wide. He’s saved his team a few times in this game.

Fans of other African teams backing Ghana in the stadium
It’s not only Ghanaians who have come out to support the Black Stars.
Inside the stadium, I see spectators waving Kenyan, South African, Tanzanian and Ugandan flags in the section where the Ghana fans are seated.
Alonso makes changes
Nunez and de Arrascaeta are off, with Gomez and Canobbio on.

Valverde attempts lob
The Real Madrid man is miles out but attempts to lob Ati Zigi and goes surprisingly close to achieving that. Uruguay are looking dangerous on the break, but Ghana need to throw men forward regardless.
79 mins: Ghana 0-2 Uruguay
Did you know?
If the Black Stars qualify for the last 16, Inaki Williams will join his younger brother, Nico, in the knockout stage.
Nico Williams, also a striker, plays for Spain.
At the moment, that seems unlikely.
Addo makes changes
Kyereh and Semenyo are on, with Williams and Abdul Samed making way. Can they make the difference for their side?
74 mins: Ghana 0-2 Uruguay
Ghana’s players are trying to force a breakthrough
They are misplacing a few passes. That could be costly as Uruguay are trying to hit them on the counter.
The next goal in this game, if and when it comes, will be crucial.
