Brazil’s strength in depth is scary

Brazil fans not overreacting
Brazilian fans are not celebrating too hard as they didn’t feel South Korea were a match for their star-studded team.
“We are happy we are going to the quarter-finals. We will meet tougher opponents. We knew we were going to win this match,” Alex Fontes said, as he made his way out of the stadium.
“The game was finished in the first half. We could have scored more, but I don’t like humiliation,” he joked.

Even more changes at Stadium 974
It is not often you see your No 1 goalkeeper substituted, but Alisson jogs off to much jubilation from the Brazilian contingent in the stands.
He is replaced by Weverton Pereira da Silva, which means all three of Brazil’s goalkeepers have been featured in this tournament.
Meanwhile, Neymar’s night finally comes to a close as he is brought off in favour of Rodrygo.
South Korea also make a change as Cho is replaced by Hong Chul.

Stadium settling
Credit to the South Korean fans. They witnessed a difficult first half. They may be four goals down, but many never stopped cheering for their team, and they did not head for the exits after what was seen in that first half.
Have the Brazilians taken their foot off the gas? They are not pressing the Korean players as hard as they had been. The stadium is also not as loud – but everyone feels there are more goals still to come in this match.
Is Alisson the best goalkeeper at the World Cup?
The Golden Glove is given to the best keeper at the World Cup, and until today, Alisson hasn’t really had much opportunity to shine. But those are three or four noteworthy saves he’s made in tonight’s game.
A South American goalkeeper has 𝐧𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 won the official World Cup Golden Glove since its introduction in 1994…
At this rate, Alisson is going to change that 😅🧤🇧🇷 pic.twitter.com/GlbFbnNQZ9

Alisson makes a huge stop
After a cross is sent into the middle from the left side, the ball lands at the feet of South Korea’s Hwang Hee-chan.
He looks to beat the goalkeeper to his right, but Alisson is able to put a big mitt out to stop it.
There are a few more chances directed at the goal due to the deflection from the goalkeeper, but it soon fizzles out thanks to an offside ruling from the linesman.

South Korea make a change
Hwang In-beom applauds the crowd as he comes off after a tough shift.
