Goodbye for now
That’s it from an action-packed Monday of matches.
Egypt live to fight another day and perhaps so too does Mohamed Salah if the Pharaohs can make it through one more round without him.
Ghana are heartbroken though, after two goals in stoppage time from Mozambique send the Black Stars home.
We’ll be back with more live coverage on Tuesday from the Asian Cup, which on Monday saw Qatar make it three from three to top their group.
For now though, from me Kevin Hand and the team, it’s goodbye.
Over to Groups C and D on Tuesday
Can Tuesday’s matches live up to the drama that Group A and B produced?
Senegal are through in Group C but Cameroon, in the third spot, have their work cut out with only one point so far.
Angola and Burkina Faso top Group D with four points but Algeria will be gunning to jump from third to top before the day is done.
Scant consolation for Kudus
Of course it’s him! ⭐️

Two goals in stoppage time send Ghana out
Mozambique have denied Ghana and elevated winless Egypt to the knock-out stage with two goals in stoppage time of a game that appeared settled.
An incredible finish.
Can Egypt believe their luck?
No tense wait for a third-place finish as three draws are enough to seal qualification.
Ghana go from second, and leading 2-0, to out in the space of stoppage time being signalled and the full-time whistle blowing.
Two points will not be enough for The Black Stars to claim one of the four best third-place finishes.
Egypt qualify!
Ghana are denied by Mozambique.
