- Jordan are booed at the end for not chasing the game, but the players appear to settle on letting the top spot slip in the dying moments and thus avoid Japan in the next round.
- Bahrain climb to the top of the group with their win so face the Japanese next.

As it stands the top three progress
The key issue for this game is the line-up for the knockout stage as things stand.
Second- and third-place finishers in Group E face daunting opponents.
Second spot, which is currently Bahrain, would face Saudi Arabia.
Third will play Iran, which is the fate that faces Jordan as things stand having slipped from top spot.
One goal changes everything though.
