It was so close, according to the stats
There was nothing between the sides in terms of the stats, and it’s so cruel for Tajikistan that it had to be an own goal to separate them.

Yatimov thanks the fans
The Tajikistan keeper has been part of an incredible run, but his immediate thought after the game was with the fans.
“Thank you to the fans today and throughout the tournament. They have been magnificent,” he told the official broadcaster.
The first semifinal spot is filled
Australia or South Korea await in the semifinal.

Jordan reach the semifinals for the first time
Tarami is taken off holding his thigh in the final few seconds. That will be a concern.
In the meantime, Hanonov’s own goal in the 66th minute is enough for Jordan to seal the first semifinal place.
Full-time: Tajikistan 0-1 Jordan
Tajikistan pump the ball forward
Two lofted balls are sent into the box but Jordan stand firm and nearly counter thanks to Tarami.
He can’t quite pick a ball inside, where there were two Jordanian runners on the overload.
The ball is held up close to the corner flag in the end.
90+4 minutes: Tajikistan 0-1 Jordan
Seven minutes of added time
We’ve seen plenty of late drama – will there be one more moment for Tajikistan at their Asian Cup debut or is this the end of the road?
90+1 minutes: Tajikistan 0-1 Jordan
Two more Jordanian subs
Yazan and Raja-ei come off for Anas and Fadi as they look to tighten up in the middle of the park
88 minutes: Tajikistan 0-1 Jordan
Olwan misses the semifinal
The striker is shown a yellow card and will miss the semifinal, should Jordan go through.
So will Salem in defence, who was also booked.
84 minutes: Tajikistan 0-1 Jordan
Double change for Jordan
Sa’deh and Abuhasheesh come on for Nor and Al-Mardi to freshen up the legs.
79 minutes: Tajikistan 0-1 Jordan
Tajikistan change
Dzhalilov comes off for Khamrokulov in attack.
The former has been quiet in the match of late.
77 minutes: Tajikistan 0-1 Jordan
The keeper had to keep an eye on that
Shukurov shoots straight down the middle from just outside the box, but it was swerving at shoulder height as it reached the keeper, who elected to punch away.
74 minutes: Tajikistan 0-1 Jordan
Tamari fires over
That could have sealed it.
Yazan dances away from two defenders before laying off, but Tamari shoots over when he really had to hit the target, at the very least, from 12 yards (11 metres) out.
71 minutes: Tajikistan 0-1 Jordan
So unfortunate
It was a fine ball in from the corner and that’s what created the goal.
Not much Hananov could have done about it other than be the first to the ball.
68 minutes: Tajikistan 0-1 Jordan
GOAL!
Al-Mardi swings in a corner and it’s met by the head of Nasib – he only skims it though and the ball is deflected into his own net by Hanonov!
66 minutes: Tajikistan 0-1 Jordan
Tamari nearly gets clear
A slipped ball through to Yazan but on this occasion, the forward’s touch lets him and his teammate down.
That would have been a great chance but Yazan fluffs his lines.
62 minutes: Tajikistan 0-0 Jordan
Jordan yet to find their way in the second half
It seems as though all the moments of the half so far belong to Tajikistan, who may need to make the most of this as Jordan will undoubtedly have their moment soon.
58 minutes: Tajikistan 0-0 Jordan
Huge moment
Salem is dispossessed in defence on the edge of the Jordan box by Mabatshoev, who can’t find his balance as he breaks into the box after the tackle and ends up stabbing a shot comfortably wide of the goal.
That was an awkward moment to say the least for Salem and a huge let-off.
55 minutes: Tajikistan 0-0 Jordan
The first effort of the second half
Shukurov makes good contact with his shot from 25 yards (23 metres) for Tajikistan.
It was dipping, but still sails over, as the keeper waves the ball on its way.
52 minutes: Tajikistan 0-0 Jordan
Only half chances so far
Tajikistan managed one shot on target in the first half to Jordan’s two.
The Jordanian players did have the share of the possession, 55-45, but only just.
Both sides had three shots off target. There really is all to play for.
48 minutes: Tajikistan 0-0 Jordan
Under way in the second half
No goals in the first half – what can the teams produce in the second?
46 minutes: Tajikistan 0-0 Jordan

Two more corners are won by Jordan and from the second they forge a chance.
The ball drops to Olwan but the striker skies his shot.

Tajikstan will be happy to get off and regroup now.
