The skippers have been the key players in both the opening games after Charith Asalanka was picked out in the first match.

A win with 11 balls to spare
Sri Lanka’s 165-5 always looked short and Bangladesh in the end made short work of it.
A victory with nine balls and eight wickets to spare.

The six brought up the fifty for Shanto!
Dasun Shanaka drifted onto the pads with the first ball of the 19th and Najmul Hossain Shanto made no mistake as he lifted the ball over the leg-side boundary.
That moved the Bangladesh skipper to 53 from only 38 balls.
What a way to finish it – and what a performance from Bangladesh.
Shanto wins it for Bangladesh with a six – they beat Sri Lanka by 8 wickets
It’s onto the final game of the series as Bangladesh brilliantly level matters with an eight-wicket win in the second T20 international.
18 overs. Bangladesh 164-2
The final ball of Maheesh Theekshana’s over is sent to the stands with a pull from Towhid Hridoy.
It’s two runs to win from eight balls.
It’s all become too much for the ball
Sri Lanka get a ball change as it appears the dew has drenched the ball and the umpires concur that a replacement is needed.
Three singles off the first three balls. Eleven to win from 15.
17 overs. Bangladesh 155-2
The hosts ease off the gas after Najmul Hossain Shanto’s blistering start.
Just three singles off the last four balls.
Fourteen to win from 18 deliveries.
Four and a six and this is nearly done
Dasun Shanaka is cut for a four first ball by Najmul Hossain Shanto, who follows up with a pull for six and the game is nearly up for Sri Lanka.
Seventeen to win from 22 balls.
16 overs. Bangladesh 139-2
All the pressure comes off the over with the first ball sailing away for five wides.
Angelo Mathews then finishes the over with six singles taken off the six legitimate deliveries.
Twenty-seven to win from 24.
Pathirana’s race is run
The swinger has pulled up after four balls of the over.
This happened in the first match, too.
On this occasion, he can’t carry on.
Oh, no, Pathirana
The slinger opens the over with five wides down the leg side.
Not what Sri Lanka needs at all.
15 overs. Bangladesh 128-2
No boundary in the over and just five singles. It’s 38 needed from 30 balls.
It feels like it’s a big over coming up.
Three singles to begin
Dilshan Madushanka applies the squeeze with his left-arm seam.
Can they dry up the boundaries when the required rate is still above one run per ball?
14 overs. Bangladesh 123-2
Maheesh Theekshana can’t find a wicket, but Towhid Hridoy can find a boundary as he drives through the covers and beats the sweeper, Charith Asalanka.
It’s 43 runs to win from 36 balls.
Wickets please!
Maheesh Theekshana restores some control with two singles off the first three balls of the 14th, but it’s wickets that Sri Lanka need.
13 overs. Bangladesh 115-2
Just the one boundary off the over, but it’s only 51 required off 42.
Sri Lanka surely can’t pull this back from here with eight wickets to take.
Shanto showing the way
Binura Fernando sees his second ball of the 13th over slammed throw the covers for four by Najmul Hossain Shanto.
12 overs. Bangladesh 105-2
The Tigers find a boundary late in the over as Dilshan Madushanka drops short outside off and Towhid Hridoy upper cuts over point for four.
It’s 61 to win from 48 balls. Can Bangladesh keep their heads?
11 overs. Bangladesh 97-2
Matheesha Pathirana has 2-19 off his three overs now, but there were also four byes in his latest over as Kusal Mendis couldn’t stop one outside off on the second bounce.
Najmul Hossain Shanto also pulled a short ball fine for four more.
10 overs. Bangladesh 86-2
Just three singles off Binura Fernando’s over and that’s now just one boundary in 28 balls for Bangladesh.
Drinks taken.
That will slow things a little
Binura Fernando opens the 10th over two dot balls before Najmul Hossain Shanto finds a single.
Bangladesh won’t want to lose momentum, but they must be wary of a collapse.
WICKET! Das departs! Bangladesh 83-2 after nine overs
Matheesha Pathirana has done it, and both openers are now gone as Litton Das departs for 36 off 24.
Charith Asalanka takes a one-handed catch at square as Das fails to time a pull.
Sri Lanka need some Pathirana magic
Sri Lanka need Matheesha Pathirana to come up with some of his magic from his slinger action.
Just two singles off the first three balls of the over helps.
