After going up early against Luton Town in the second minute, it looked like business as usual for the home side.
The Hatters, however, battened down the hatches, before a Kovacic beauty in the 64th minute re-injected life into the Cityzens.
From there, City were a side on a mission as they added a further three goals to complete a resounding 5-1 victory.
They now await the Arsenal and Liverpool results this weekend to see how they stack up as we near closer to the end of the season.
