Goodbye for now
That’s it from our live coverage of a record-breaking game between Arsenal and Chelsea.
The Gunners fire five past the Blues for their biggest victory against their London rivals.
Leandro Trossard’s fourth-minute drive gave the home side a deserved half-time lead. The two second-half braces from Ben White and Kai Havertz, however, helped hammer Mauricio Pochettino’s beleaguered side.
We’ll be back on Wednesday with Everton against Liverpool in the Merseyside derby where the Reds will have to respond to Arsenal’s three-point lead at the top of the Premier League.
For now, though – from me, Kevin Hand – it’s goodbye.

They are one more result away from equalling the Premier League record for the number of wins by those margins.

Gallagher responds to placard held up by Chelsea fans
Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher responded to the placard held up by members of the club’s fans questioning the players’ commitment.
“We definitely are putting the effort in. I know how much it means to the boys,” Gallagher told TNT Sports.
“It’s a young squad with not much experience in the Premier League.
“There have been a lot of ups and downs and we are still improving.
“Today is one of those days where it didn’t happen. We will look at all the mistakes and get ready for the next one.”
Chelsea fans had a message for their team
One of the striking moments of the match at the Emirates Stadium was in a sign held up by some of the Chelsea fans.
“I don’t want your shirt! I want you to want to fight for ours!” was the message written on the placard held aloft by a young fan.

‘It’s not nice seeing your team play with such low energy’
“We conceded the early goal and it was difficult for us to recover,” Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino told TNT Sports.
“We competed after 10 or 15 minutes. We discussed at halftime that we can’t start the game like this but we started the second half with such low energy.
“We lost the game in the first 15 minutes of the second half. We were not clinical again. It was a difficult result and performance.
“It’s not nice seeing your team play like this with such low energy. It’s so difficult three days after such a good performance against Manchester City.
“We didn’t compete from the beginning against a side competing for the Premier League.”
Mikel Arteta reacts to Arsenal’s record win against Chelsea
“I’m very happy, first of all, with the win, the amount of chance, the amount of goals and the clean sheet,” the Arsenal manager told TNT Sports.
“We weren’t disciplined enough [in the first half], especially when defending the box. We had to be a lot better in the second half and we were.
“When teams defend with more men, the outside is a bit more open, and well done to the players for recognising it and making the most of it.
“We all agreed [Martin] Odegaard could add something special to the team.
“It’s always a question when you have to handle a different role [when given the captaincy] but the way he lifts the game and loves the game, it’s more than enough to convince everyone to follow him.”

Arsenal’s break a near-century-old record against Chelsea
Arsenal’s previous biggest win against Chelsea was 5-1 in 1930.
Humbling for the Blues as the Gunners fired on all cylinders.
Ben White tight-lipped on volleyed goal
Arsenal defender Ben White scored a brace on the night but his second appeared to be an attempted cross.
“I’ll let others decide for themselves,” White told TNT Sports when asked if he meant it.
“We know we can score goals. It was a quick game and important for us to put the chances away.
“It’s not just the defence keeping the clean sheets. The wingers are tracking back helping us. It’s a team effort.”

Leandro Trossard celebrates ‘great night’ for Arsenal
“The early goal helped us a lot and after that, we played so well. It’s a great night for us,” Arsenal forward Leandro Trossard told TNT Sports.
“They say clean sheets help you win games and we know that if we can score goals, then we can win.
“We are just one team and you can see that on and off the pitch.
“We can only do our own job and that’s winning games. We are on the right track and we will see at the end what happens.”
