Can justice be served 12 years after Sri Lanka’s civil war ended?

The United Nations is accusing Sri Lanka of denying justice to victims 12 years after the end of the civil war.

The UN’s human rights chief Michelle Bachelet said the Sri Lankan government is failing to pursue those responsible for war crimes.

Twenty-six years of conflict left 100,000 people dead and at least 20,000 missing.

Bachelet warned human rights could be further eroded.

Sri Lanka’s government has rejected the accusations.
