Spain: Basque separatist group ETA disarms

More than 850 people were killed as the Basque separatist group ETA fought for an independent state in southwestern France and northern Spain

But now ETA has disarmed after fighting a bloody campaign for independence for more than half a century.

The group says it’s handed over all weapons and explosives, and will continue to operate as a disarmed group.
