Pol Pot was one of the 20th century’s most destructive individuals, with his Khmer Rouge regime in Cambodia killing up to two million people in less than 4 years in power.

Pol Pot ruled Cambodia from 1975 to 1979 but in that short period between 750,000 and two million people died, most from overwork or starvation, others directly murdered by the Pol Pot’s fanatical Khmer Rouge.
