World War II shipwrecks: Australian couple battle oil leaks

The duo will sail a former New Zealand naval ship to some of the Pacific Ocean battle sites in a plan to stop the oil leak.

Thousands of ships were sunk during the second world war. Their wrecks litter the ocean floor.

Decades of corrosion, tidal movements and storms have caused some of them to break up and leak oil.

But now a couple from Australia have launched a grand plan to stop an ensuing ecological disaster.
