China’s Tiangong-1 space lab falls to Earth

Space station almost entirely burned up as it re-entered the Earth’s atmosphere, breaking into small pieces as it plummeted over the South Pacific Ocean.

An abandoned Chinese space laboratory has re-entered Earth’s atmosphere and burned up over the South Pacific.

Beijing’s space agency lost control of the vessel in 2016.
