US fentanyl crisis: Mexican cartels push opioid assembly

Mexican gangsters are notorious for always finding a way to get their hands on fentanyl despite restrictions.

China has banned all variants of the drug fentanyl.

This is a step welcomed by United States President Donald Trump, to stem the flow of lethal opioids responsible for 48,000 deaths in the US last year.

But the drug is not just entering the country directly from China. It is also being imported by Mexican drug cartels.
