Bolivia’s president begins bid for fourth consecutive term
Some Bolivians say Morales is acting unconstitutionally after voters expressed opposition to his fourth term.
Bolivia’s president has begun his campaign for re-election.
Evo Morales has been in power since 2006 and the opposition has called his decision to run for the October vote “unconstitutional”.
They say Morales is ignoring a 2016 referendum, in which voters clearly expressed their opposition to a fourth consecutive term.
Al Jazeera’s Daniel Schweimler reports.
